The Joy Stik by Harold Lea Brown Wins Best Romantic Comedy Feature Screenplay at 2017 The Indie Gathering International Film Festival

July 1, 2017—The Joy Stik,  a comedy screenplay, written by Harold Lea Brown has won 1st place in the Romantic Comedy Feature Script Category at 2017 The Indie Gathering International Film Festival, Ohio, USA.


After being fired by his golf club, a womanizing Club Pro struggles to keep his head above water as his penis is being controlled by an angry student’s voodoo doll and he learns he’s about to become a father. 


Celebrating 22 years, The “Indie” Gathering Film Festival showcases independent filmmakers from around the world and inspires and encourages them through a competitive showcase. Filmmakers participate in screenings and speak with audience members who seek a closer look into the creative process.  The 2017 Indie Gathering runs August 10-13, 2017, Hudson, Ohio USA.
